COLOURS OF PAIN

On February 13, 2026, the new BLOODRED album COLOURS OF PAIN will finally see the light of day!

I cannot really put into words how long I have been waiting to share this news with you. Nearly four loooooong years after AD ASTRA you are finally getting new BLOODRED music again. Today we are opening this new chapter with the title track and a brand new video for “Colours of Pain”:

The single is available on all digital platforms, please also find us there.

For me, COLOURS OF PAIN is another step forward in the evolution of BLOODRED. While I am still very much rooted in the trademarks of Blackened Death Metal, the sonic palette has expanded. From high speed riff attacks and haunting melodies to emotional, atmospheric passages, the songs have become even more dynamic.

Once more I had the pleasure of working with Joris Nijenhuis on drums and by now we have simply become a really strong team. The production was again handled by Alexander Krull at Mastersound Studio, whose ear for detail and sense of sheer sonic weight have pushed these songs even further. The artwork was again brilliantly crafted by Stefan Heilemann from Heilemania.

What makes me especially happy, though, is that for the first time I can welcome a guest on a BLOODRED record: no other than Þráinn Árni Baldvinsson of Skálmöld has contributed the guitar solo for the song “Mindvirus”. I probably do not need to explain how surreal and exciting it feels to have a member of one of my all-time favourite bands on this album. And also maybe you can hear Alex growling in the background in one song …

I will dedicate a separate “Inside BLOODRED” post in the coming weeks to the lyrical and conceptual side of the record. This time it is even more important to me than usual to talk about the different themes behind the songs and why they matter to me.

The album will be available as a Vinyl, CD Digipak and of course on all digital platforms via Massacre Records. Pre order links will follow in the next weeks.

Until then, let me know what you think of the new song “Colours of Pain”!
